On the move again! Just booked my trip on the Alaska State Ferry system on the M/V Matanuska from Bellingham to Skagway and back again. A whole week on the water!
Looking on the internet at the photos of others just makes me want to jump up and pack! I am so ready to go and see all there is too see on this incredible Marine Highway.
I have booked a cabin with a window, even though camping on deck is available, I think I am just too old and creaky to do that... But I cannot wait to be able to talk to people who do the trip this way. I can almost see the photos that will come home with me inside Gypsy, my camera.
After the ferry week, I will be spending two nights in Seattle with some wonderful friends and then head off to the Amtrak station for a coastal trip of two days to Los Angeles.
Just the thought of this, together with the planning and gathering of warm-enough clothes, makes me smile.
